Steyr Music Festival
In the summer months of July and August, the moat of Lamberg Castle, which is populated by ibexes throughout the year, is transformed into a romantic venue for the open-air performances as part of the Steyr Music Festival.
Every year, the long-standing artistic director Karl-Michael Ebner relies on a good mix of musical or operetta productions, concerts and summer cinema. The unique room concept with bistro tables and catering makes every evening in the castle moat an unforgettable experience. Ebner is a guarantor that new artistic paths are always taken in Steyr, be it with new musical arrangements of traditional pieces or lively productions that integrate the historical ambience. For many years, Ebner has relied on a good mix of young artists who are at the beginning of their careers and internationally active singers.
