Winter Vacation in the alpine town Bludenz
In the Alpine town of Bludenz, no two winter days are the same. Ten ski areas can be reached within a few minutes by car and offer all together over 200 lifts and 1,000 kilometers of slopes. Opposite the town is the Brandnertal ski area with slopes at Loischkopf, Niggenkopf and the Palüd area. Brandnertal, with its leisurely slopes, is especially popular with families and beginners. In the Klostertal, at the foot of the Arlberg, lies the natural snow skiing area Sonnenkopf with challenging deep snow slopes and great carving slopes. Not far from the Klostertal you will find “Ski Arlberg”, the largest connected ski area in Austria. The ski areas in Großes Walsertal (Faschina and the adjacent ski area Damüls, Sonntag-Stein and Raggal) offer every skier the right descent. Within reach are the top ski areas of Golm/Tschagguns, Silvretta Montafon/Schruns and St. Gallenkirch and the ski area of Gargellen in the Montafon.
The Muttersberg is also accessible by cable car in winter. Once at the top, you can hike through the snow-covered winter landscape and, for example, admire the works of art on the Alpine Art trail Muttersberg.
In the valleys around Bludenz extend numerous winter hiking trails, snowshoe and ski tours, which can be reached from the city in a short time. Variety on skis, snowshoes and winter hiking trails is therefore provided.
And what could be better than relaxing in the indoor swimming pool or sauna after an action-packed winter day? In Bludenz you will find the largest sauna area in Vorarlberg – in Val Blu Resort. Several sauna cabins from Bio to Finnish are available and a cozy outdoor whirlpool with a view of the surrounding mountains invites you to linger. In addition, an indoor pool with three different pools as well as an 80m long speed slide awaits you.
